KERRIUM Steel A286
AMS5731 I UNS S66286 I W.-Nr. 1.4980
KERRIUM Steel A286 is an iron-nickel-chromium based precipitation-hardening high-temperature steel developed for demanding applications requiring excellent strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. Based on the well-established A286 alloy system, it provides a balanced combination of high tensile strength, creep resistance, fatigue performance, and good corrosion resistance up to approximately 650°C (1200°F).
The alloy also offers excellent fabrication characteristics, including good weldability, machinability, and forming capability compared with many nickel-based superalloys. KERRIUM Steel A286 is widely used for aerospace fasteners, turbine hardware, turbocharger components, industrial furnace equipment, and other critical structural applications operating under high thermal and mechanical stress.
